Southern Glazer’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) theme for 2025 was “Unleashing the Good,” and based on the results of our latest Holiday Giving Campaign, our employees more than lived up to the task.
“Unleashing the Good is about recognizing that our greatest impact comes from our people,” says Anna Gomez, Senior Specialist of External Communications & CSR at Southern Glazer’s.
Wrapping up our corporate giving campaign
Originally launched in 2018, the Southern Glazer’s Holiday Giving Campaign was created to formally recognize and celebrate the incredible ways employees give back during the holiday season. When Gomez was planning the eighth annual campaign, she was inspired by the strong culture of giving within the company, with employees going above and beyond in their communities.
Several of our employees already give back year-round by running their own charities in their free time, Gomez discovered. Seven of those employee-founded nonprofits across the U.S. were ultimately selected to be featured for the 2025 holiday season. Southern Glazer’s matched every volunteer hour logged on our VolunCheers Online platform with a $25 donation. An additional $50 donation was pledged for each employee who registered as a new user on the platform.
Our employees logged a total of 2,381 volunteer hours and 125 employees registered as new VolunCheers Online users during the campaign. This brought our donation total to $65,775, meaning each of the seven beneficiaries received $9,396 to expand their organization’s impact.
“This campaign gave us a moment to pause, celebrate our employees’ efforts, and amplify the causes that matter most to them,” Gomez adds. “When we put employees at the center of our giving, the impact becomes deeply personal and incredibly powerful.”
Our seven featured employee-founded charities
Our 2025 Holiday Giving Campaign wasn’t just about giving back; it was about showing our team members that we believe in them, their passions, and their power to change the world. From health research to environmental sustainability, here are the seven organizations that got a boost from this year’s campaign — with support from their colleagues who were inspired to help:
- Bandits Breer Fastpitch (Washington) – Owned by Christopher Breer, Vice President of Operations.
- CURE GABA-A (Washington) – Owned by Megan Levitt, Director of Trade Development.
- Feeding Fayetteville & NWA (Arkansas) – Owned by Alison Chambers, Sales Consultant.
- Good Soles (Arizona) – Owned by Craig Goosen, Executive Vice President and General Manager.
- Pollinator Preservation Project (Texas) – Owned by Lee Zollinger, ETP Program Manager.
- Purple Playas Foundation (Florida) – Owned by Michael Lentini, Area Manager.
- The Morgan Breanna Hicks Foundation (Ohio) – Owned by Morgan Reveille, Sales Consultant.
