Exploring the Wine Regions of Italy

During the four sessions of this immersive class, we will explore the wine regions of northern, central, and southern Italy. We will taste classic examples of wines from key regions of the country while learning about the wine laws and diverse wine styles produced.

Course Syllabus

 

Session 1 – Introduction, review of key concepts of winemaking, viticulture, and wine tasting technique. Discussion of Italy’s role in world wine production, Italian Wine Law

 

Session 2 – Wine regions of Northern Italy

 

Session 3 – Wine Regions of Central Italy

 

Session 4 – Wine regions of Southern Italy
