Wine 201: Viticulture and Vinification

In this four-part series we will unpack foundational knowledge of grape growing and wine making. We will discover where and how wine grapes are grown as well as how agricultural practices and weather impact the outcome of the wine produced. We will learn about major grape varieties and styles of wine as well as how wine it is made including white, red, rose, orange, sparkling, dessert and fortified wine. You will walk away with better general knowledge of wine and may even find a few new wines to enjoy!

 

This is a beginner level 4-session course lasting 2.5 hours each session. No prerequisites are required.
